When a
plug is inserted, the
strong "Catch Hooks"
automatically insert
themselves into the holes of
the plug prongs. A
distinct click is both heard
and felt when the locking
action takes place.
To guarantee high
performance and
connectivity, there are 5
contact points for each
prong. Using high
grade beryllium copper
alloys, the Qwik-Lok
eliminates connection
failures, arcing and
burn-outs even under sudden
power surges and high
current loads.
Qwik-Lok can withstand
repeated tension pulls of up
to 300 lbs. without failure
of the locking mechanism.
When the collar is pulled
back the "Catch Hooks" lift
out of the plug holes thus
unlocking the plug.
